Don't laugh... i know it kinda sucks, my 1st tutorial AND my first experience with charcoal.

I was looking for a charcoal tutorial and i couldn't find one that actually helped me. So this is for all the lost souls out there, esparatley searching for help... lol.. that sounded weird

Why do you spray it with fixative?
I've never used charcoal, and I hope to get some soon. Sorry if my question sounds stupid, though...
